Re: Its a done deal.
Just bought a grey GS myself, traded in a KTM 950SM. I took a 1100 mile trip last week on GS and realised what all the fuss is about, it was excellent! Enjoy

how does it compare to the ktm sm? i have a smt and have always lusted over the BM but everytime i ask for a test ride i get one for an hour only, and i always hand it back thinking........
Well its an allright bike, too big and heavy, not good enough to warrent the silly price tag.
then i ask questions like this online and secretly lust again, i can not be the only one that likes the looks of em?
PS congrats on the new bike dancanovas, and ignore the bit above about big and heavy lol.

You will love it,as I've said in other threads if there's a bike that will get you there or home virtually on auto pilot its the 1200GS, really nice colour scheme to, good choice.
Finally back on a GS
Re: Its a done deal.
Enjoy your new bike I may try one myself but it would have to be an older model they hold the value very well .

Re: Its a done deal.
Thanks chaps, very excited about picking her up on Saturday. Got a 180 mile ride to get there and then of course back
Re: Its a done deal.
:cheer: Nice one, enjoy. I've had one since 2006, been a good workhorse for running up and down to scotland, good two up and all day comfy, liked my 1150gs as well but the 12's smoother.
Still use my 660 tenere as daily ride though.
Pics of the new bike soon as mate.

Chaos is the only camouflage that incompetence needs to operate at full capacity.
I dunno where that road goes, might as well go take a look anyway there's no where else i need to be right now.
