New Youtube channel

Hi All hope this is allowed (sorry Mods if it's not!) but my Dad and I have just started a new youtube channel. We've started with some videos from our Romania trip last year and hope to be adding more travel and related content over the coming months. If you'd like a view, we only have 2 videos so ...

Re: Which bike?

Hi you don't mention it needing a massive amount of off road potential. If this is the case a v strom 650 would tick all your boxes. My Dad came down in size from a 1200 BMW as, like you, he has a bad back and has had surgeries so he needed lighter. He says the v strom is a better bike in many ways,...

Re: Wild ass seats.

I had my standard seat reworked by Dianne at Chaos Customs in Swansea.

Reasonably priced, great quality, and good turn around

She can tailor the seat including height for you if you give her the requirements

Re: Low seat height best bike advice

I'm 6 foot 3 so not exactly short in the leg, but my choice of off road bike is a Honda 250? Why? Well like most on here, while I don't ride with my feet down, I STOP sometimes! Knowing that I can, if I need to, stop and put my feet down, allows me to ride confidently the rest of the time whether si...

Re: Next bike for tall rider

I'm about an inch shorter than you and about 16 stone For me, the V Strom 1000 Suzuki in an awesome do it all bike Mine has got me everywhere, in comfort, and is also a lot cheaper to own and run than the others. After experience with a GS, I'd say the strom is a superior road bike and both of them ...

Stick on or stick off?

Apologies if this has been discussed before - I did do a search and couldn't find anything Where do you guys sit with stickers on panniers? I don't mean buy a load of generic ones of ebay and plaster them - I mean a select few genuine ones you pick up on your travels. I know I, and the people I trav...

Re: OGNIBENE Silent Sprockets

Hi last year I replaced the chain and sprocket on my 2008 V Strom and got a good deal on a set of these sprockets. First time I've used these and I quite like them. I can't tell the difference at speed but at low town speeds it definitely quietens the chain down. Better than when I just changed the ...
