OGNIBENE Silent Sprockets

Post by threepot »

Has anyone used one of these? I'm wondering if their worth the extra £9 over a quality alternative to stock? Thanks.

I never really heard much difference between the rubber mounted OEM sprocket and a JT or sunnstar replacement so I'll stick with them. Certainly not worth the £40 price difference!
These might be a lot cheaper but I still don't think I'd ever bother.

I had something similar on my 990 from new. Never noticed a difference when I changed to a conventional one..I personally wouldn't pay extra for it

Just saw these and I'm also curious. Has anyone else gave it a try or know if they make any difference?

Typically an OE idea on Hondas etc--and without a cush drive--just gives the chain a softer "landing"--I wouldn't know about it being quieter--best buy an OE?

I hope whomever designed the sprockets has done a better job than the person who has concocted the logo at the bottom
I haven't a clue what its supposed to say

Hi
last year I replaced the chain and sprocket on my 2008 V Strom and got a good deal on a set of these sprockets.
First time I've used these and I quite like them. I can't tell the difference at speed but at low town speeds it definitely quietens the chain down. Better than when I just changed the chain on it's own last time!
Be warned though, my wife says with my hearing I can hear a pin drop in a riot :) Even with that aside they are definitely no worse than originals and I would use them again
