Re: Hartside cafe

Great roads around there but the cafe itself was a bit of a dump. It was a decent cafe, good cakes and food and a cracking view with the bonus of a cracking ride up to it from either direction I think you may be alone in your opinion of it  Ian :D Whilst I've never been, so have no personal e...

Re: The First Bike You Bought

My 1st bike, if you don't count the trike, was a Yamaha YBR125 which I bought *Way* back in March 2016.

About a month before that, I bought an XVS650 Custom Dragstar with a Reliant back axle, which I could ride on my car licence because I passed my car test back in 1980.

Re: I'll ride slower when they stop claiming for porno

I've already seen the "Looking for cameras" effect on the motorway. On the 'Smart' sections, where there are more cameras and they are linked to the, now, mandatory speed limits when there's something going on up ahead, or because of the time of day and possible congestion issues, people s...

Re: How do you remove a lock barrel?

I did, eventually, manage to remove the barrel. I changed it for the same one as for the two panniers and all was well. For a while... Then the little nut on the back of the barrel became loose and fell off and the new barrel fell out! I'm now going to put the original barrel back in and just accept...

Re: Comfy seat

I found that the standard seat on my MT-07 Tracer was very comfortable, no issues when riding well over 100 miles and several hours at a time. However, the standard one on the MT-09 Tracer was terrible. After an hour of riding I had a numb bum. For me, the answer was a Bagster seat. Not cheap, but I...

Thoughts on the 660cc MT-03

A friend of mine is interested in a used MT-03 660cc bike. It's on a UK 57 plate, so registered at the second half of of 2007.
I wonder if anyone one here has owned one and can advise what to look out for please?
Thanks for any help.

Re: Motorcycle Dashcam

I always have my helmet mounted camera on when I'm on my bike and I've even put one in the car as well. When a car pulled out across a junction in front of me and wrote off my MT-07 Tracer I sent the clip to my insurance and it was very useful in proving my case. I tried to send it to the Police, bu...
