Re: For Sale - Laptops and Phones

Excellent value for money! Great laptop to take on the bike, the only moving part is to open the screen. Plenty of storage, connectivity and enough processing power for quick video edits. The one I've received has even got a SIM card slot so I'm sorted for those remote spots in South Yorkshire I fre...

Re: Motorcycle Mover

Have you tried wheeling the bike up onto wood planks ( raising bike an inch) and then using mover?

Re: Motorcycle Mover

Can you reverse the bike down the drive? That's what I do. Pull into pavement and reverse in.
If the garage floor isn't smooth try using a self leveling mix from Wickes.

Re: Lowering links

As Tonibe63 says, lowering the rear without adjusting the front will slow the steering. The bike will be more stable in a straight line , but will be harder to turn into corners. On my XT1200 I lowered the rear by 30mm and raised the forks 13mm through the yokes. This was as much as I could get away...

Re: Blaze heated clothing

I've had a blaze jacket for two years now. I love it. I added the remote control as it's easier than fumbling for the switch on the jacket. It's a wireless link mounted on the handlebar. Worth getting it.

Black Tag , waterproof cargo pants, texsport. I've used both for all my trips. About 8000 miles a year.

Re: Firebox Stove - Advice Needed

I've used all manner of solid fuel stoves, hex, kelly, volcanoes, chinese jet boils, and meths stoves. The most convenient and easy packed are the hex stoves and the compact gas stoves with remote cylinder. The trouble with the solid fuel stoves is soot on your pans. Solution for cleaning is to coat t...

Re: Yamaha XTZ 1200 Super Ténéré heads up for clutch casing cracks

The early XT's had an issue with the clutch cover cracking after about 6 months. This was due to too long dowels being used , the gasket would contract with age allowing the cover to stress on the dowels. My 2010 was replaced on warranty. Usual first symptoms are oil leaks around the gasket. On no a...
