Anyone fancy meeting at Glebe Farm on the Fosse Way CV359AE for a breakfast at 9 ish and then a tarmac only trip around the Cotswolds.
My usual"lap" of the Cotswolds is about 120 miles and most of these are country lanes with just a few easy fords to splash through.
Anyone welcome, I will be two up so it wont be a mad dash and as I said tarmac only but we will pass several green lanes if anyone wants to explore.
The Route will be my "shortcut" to Cirencester which will take in
Halford....Petrol
Ilmington
Mickleton
Wilersy
Broadway...Petrol
Fish Hill
Broadway Tower..Food
Snowshill
Temple Guiting
Kineton
Brockhampton
Shipton
Compton Abdale..Crocodile
Chedworth...Roman Villa
Cirencester..Petrol
Bibury...Tickle a Trout
Which will put us at Bourton on the Water about Lunchtime which is on the Fosse Way, 20 miles from where we started or we can go back the long way

Yup - count me in.
I did notice yesterday some odd happenings at the garage in Halford - looked like the pumps were being removed. Hopefully that's just to replace them - would hope that we don't have another victim of the fuel wars.

Count me & Yoony in for this one ken. :cheer:
The price that garage in Halford charges I'd expect they make a packet. :woohoo:
Still cheaper than that robber in Wellesbourne.

Halford Garage is just having new pumps fitted and Ive given up looking at the price of fuel its too depressing.
Mike the owner is a very nice guy though (He's my MOT tester so I have to be nice to him) and they do sell lovely fresh bread and doughnuts !!

I'd be up for this provided no-one minds having to slow down for me to keep up (bike is restricted to 60 and has very little guts between 50-60)
Oh and provided no-one decides to hit any motorways as I can't get on those

No motorways involved mate, just quiet country lanes ideal for your steed.Nicoli wrote:I'd be up for this provided no-one minds having to slow down for me to keep up (bike is restricted to 60 and has very little guts between 50-60)

Hi Nicoli your most welcome to join us and you probably wont be the only steady rider there so dont worry about it, I was around that area today and didnt feel the need to go over 90mph(only kidding ) and the roads were far from motorway standards so you spend more time looking for loose gravel and pot holes than concentrating on your speedo.:woohoo:
