Glastonbury and Gloucester on way back from Somerset, wanted to do some more, but ran out of time and needed to get back. 585 miles done over the weekend. Couldn't get close to Gloucester went around the one way a few time before the wife called a halt for the lunch break!

I know what you mean about Gloucester, despite sneaking in after dark I couldn't find a good spot, I ended up on the other side of that white metal gate after a (no doubt illegal) ride round the cathedral gardens :laugh:TigerTiger wrote:Glastonbury and Gloucester on way back from Somerset, wanted to do some more, but ran out of time and needed to get back. 585 miles done over the weekend. Finally got started again. Missed doing London on the way back from my trip to South of France due to poor weather , now hoping to do Ireland iin November. Where did that summer go?
St David' s done at least, loved the roads in Pembrokeshire , certainly better than the coast road from Machynlleth to Cardigan.

"The trails of the world be countless, and most of the trails be tried.
You tread on the heels of many, till you come where the ways divide.
And one lies safe in the sunlight, and the other is dreary and wan, Yet you look aslant at the Lone Trail, and the Lone Trail lures you on....
....Bid good-bye to sweetheart, bid goodbye to friend, The Lone Trail, the Lone Trail, follow to the end.
Tarry not, and fear not, chosen of the true;
Lover of the Lone Trail, The Lone Trail waits for you"
