After many years of not spending very much at all on jackets on brands like Spada and latterly RST I decided to venture into the more premium end of jackets.

As I am just down the road from Adventure Spec I called in and tried the Badlands Pro on and was immediately impressed with both the quality of the materials and the fit. I have now done around a 1000 miles in the Klim and I have no regrets at all, I paired it with a Powerlet heated jacket and in combination with this it's just amazing. The Klim is a gore text shell rather then a fully insulted package so you are left to choose your own insulation layer - this is actually a far better, more flexible approach and more akin to what outdoor clothing manufacturers have been doing for years. I use a down jacket (if not using the Powerlet) or an old fleece.

I love it I must say and now I need to save up for the trousers!
