London in the early 1960s

Found a great video then post it up here. It doesn't have to be about bikes.

Thanks Richard - excellent video.
I was 9 so would have gone to London occasionally around then - traffic volume hadn’t changed much.
It takes almost as long to get there from Hastings now as it did back then by steam. :(
2022 Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro sadly gone due to ill health.
Now on a 2025 Triumph Scrambler 400X but may be fitter next year.

Thanks for posting.
I like watching period dramas for the vehicles.
It was the year I was born but when I started work in 1980 I had a 63 Ford Anglia and many of my friends ran old cars and vans, not as classics but cheap transport - I drove an old Beford thrupenny bit cab for a while.
You don’t see old bangers anymore, I guess the scrappage scheme got rid of them all - I find that sad.

and me, my grandad took me to the Motor Car show when it used to be at Earls Court. It was a long way on the A4 in a Morris Minor Mini :D

I was motorcycling to school for A levels on my grandfathers donated 98 cc Excelsior with pedals, girder forks and a two speed hand change and lever throttle.
