101st Lan's End Trial - 18th & 19th April 2025

Post by Hugh »

Greetings folks,

I have received a request for volunteer marshalls to help out at the 101st Land’s End Trial which is now 6 weeks away and even with over 220 marshals and officials signed up, MCC are still looking for marshals to fill several positions;

Riverton from 00:00 to 06:30 – require 1 or 2 more to make for smooth night running
Sutcombe (best refreshments at the top) from 01:30 – 07:00 – 5 or 6 more required here
Tresparrett from 05:15 to 12:00 – 2 or 3 more required
Ruses Mill from 07:00 to 13:30 – 2 or 3 more required
Pendavey from 09:00 to 15:30 – 3 physically strong to keep the heavier bikes running!
Class R team of 2 to cover Challacombe 04:30 – 06:30 then move to Boscastle 10:15 – 12:15
Class R team of 2 to cover Bude 08:15 – 10:15 then move to Wadebridge 13:45 – 15:45
Class R one person for Darracott 07:30 – 09:30 then move to Wadebridge 13:45 – 15:45

I completely understand if you can’t help but perhaps you know someone who can? As in the past couple of years MCC has some exclusive Land’s End merchandise for all volunteers (to help keep you warm – no it’s not a beanie). If you can help, please contact Tim and let him know your preferred location/timing.

Thank you for your help in the past and possible future MCC events.
