They really are nutters

One of the leading lights of the anti trail riding organisation GLEAM has passed away.

I reproduce, without the need for further comment, an extract from his obituary in the GLEAM hatesheet.

"David was the epitome of
an English gentleman. Always well-groomed and well-mannered, polite, charming and
personable …..until you mentioned off-roading. There was then a Jekyll and Hyde
transformation. David’s hatred of off-roading was visceral and at times I feared his blood
pressure approached critical. "

Although they can be combined I learned a long time ago to never confuse good manners with good intent

Well... given the damage he and his ilk have done to trailriding, enduro , trials and mx, I shall not mourn his passing.

I hope its hot where he is

Greetings,

Highly unlikely to be hot as he probably had the furnaces closed down on Health & Safety grounds

Well, despite the anti,s, there seems to be a lot of biking activity going on lately.
Organised trail rides, enduros, mx, road racing, adventure bike weekend do,s, camping, rallies, rides abroad, events etc etc etc.

Never seen so much going on .. or perhaps I'm just more aware of these events now?

New bike sales generally are flattish, .. cost of living and inflation, and younger people are not so committed these day, to bikes. But perhaps us older duffers are just using wot we got, while we can .. with an extra nod to Mr pukin. ?
