I don't like agreeing often with Mike, he gets big headed :silly:
Having said that I agree it's what they are for....
And I get to ride it home at the end of the day (so far)
Size is relative, when the other bike you ride is a varadero then everything else feels light.

Well done everyone , looked a great ride out.

I'm not disagreeing about what they were designed to do (well not in most cases anyway), but like no bike fits every purpose, the bigger off road bikes have their limitations. You either need a lot of skill and big balls, or you fall off a lot. Even Plummy had trouble getting that XTZ over that log.

'You guys are nuts' is a light hearted compliment, what I mean is well done for taking those bikes off road, and taking a big heavy bike and falling off a lot looks like a lot of fun! :)

What a great weekend, yes I fell off a few times and have the bruises to prove it. A KTM 990 may be challenging to ride on this sort of terrain but it is more than capable of this and more, the same cannot be said for my level of skill and experience but falling off does motivate me to acheive the standards set by many of the rides participants. My thanks must go to Scrambled Eggs not only for leading this ride but for assisting me when it all went wrong and providing support to all throughout the day. My thanks must also go to the whole team for their patience and advice not to mention lifting the bike off me when I decided to take a bath in the river. One of the highlights was to see Nick Plumb show what can be done on a big bike when you have talent although rumor has it wheel fitting needs more practice. Finally Dragon Wheels is to be congratulated for organising a superb event, lets hope we can all do it again next year, I'll get some practice in and some body armour by then.
Cheers
