Surely KTM recovery are obliged to recover it to the nearest franchised dealer...if not tell the dealer he can send his own van out or you'll reject the bike and take him to court.

I can’t take the dealer I ‘bought’ it from to court as he is bankrupt.
To be fair to CSS, they did suggest the recovery route as I didn’t even know I had it. It was the AA  who are acting for KTM Assistance who refused to even look at it and then refused to transport it that far!
CSS are just my nearest dealer until Husky UK appoint a new one (P&H maybe) so get the short straw.

I have emailed them to ask what I should do and await their reply.
I am going to disconnect the battery this morning and reconnect it tomorrow and see if that clears it.
My fear is voiding the warranty if I ride it there withe three warning lights on and something happens unless they tell me in writing to do it.

Thanks for the van offer but I am right down on the East Sussex coast not not exactly local to anyone.
I certainly don’t feel it should cost me best part of £200 for a van, maybe train fare etc and am happy to sit it out for a while.
I was expecting the bike in May, got it at the end of August, put 300 miles on it, went on holiday for a month, came back to a cold wet winter and have still only done 508 miles so another three or four weeks doesn’t bother me to much.

Through Richard, I got my bike via KTM UK but I am reluctant to go running to them until I have exhausted the official route.

I know nothing about KTMs, but on my car owners group they were plagued with ABS and TC warnings and it became regarded as a sign of pending battery touble as in sub par voltage due to failing battery or alternator fault. On one of my bikes the frequent ABS warnings vanished after I replaced a battery.

I've always found Google, youtube and Facebook owner groups to be the most helpful in resolving problems, in fact I've only ever been to a dealer/garage once in my entire life. Obviously before the internet it was the good old Haines manual.

The bike had been sitting in a cold shed but I had just put it on my charger/conditioner and it started on the button.
My tiny 690 battery just works every time, even in deep winter but I had a battery give up on a 6 month old BMW car so you just don’t know.

I disconnected the battery last night so will reconnect and see if it has reset this morning.

Nothing of any significance crops up on any forums tonibe63.

Battery disconnect and reconnect didn’t work.
I’ll wait to hear from the dealer tomorrow and escalate to KTM UK if necessary.

I rang the recovery people again and complained about yesterdays failure to help.
A different AA guy came within the hour. No diagnostic adaptor kit but said it was safe to ride and he would email me confirmation. He said the previous guy was wrong not to come out and wrong to refuse to take it to the nearest dealer, wherever it is.
Having written back up makes me much happier.

I have ordered the OBD adaptor cable and will also phone my local bike guy and see if he can reset it himself anyway as the Aa man thought he should have the adaptor.
I’ll call BSG/CSS when they open again on Tuesday.

Thanks for everyone’s input! :D

BSG got onto Husqvarna for advice today and, lo and behold, the AA are picking the bike up tomorrow and taking it to them for investigation…..and my first service.

I guess someone got a rollocking for not doing what they are paid to do and is part of the T&Cs.

Good old AA. 10.30 guide time became 12.30 and is now 13.30.
I have told them BSG close at 15.30.
We shall see what happens…..
