how you identify yourself can depend on
the bike
your clothes
your company
the route
etc

personally, i feel the same in myself whatever the mode of transport, its just that some modes are a hell of a lot harder, some routes are more rewarding, and some company is actually bearable lol.

o .. I forgot ... your health and age will determine a variation in how you identify .. fitness and perseverance can change how you feel and identify, thankfully.

Concept bikers .. key words?

group dynamics,
stereotyping,
need to fit in, (hierarchy of needs),
following the (in) crowd,
need to be part of a group or trend,
fitting in with the clothes you will wear,
role playing,
need to feel special and better,
relating to the perceived norms of a certain group,
act the way others in the group act,
be trendy and fashionable,
need to seem different to other groups,
feel cool,
buy into a desired lifestyle,
display of power and wealth,
feel superior,
able to wear a twat suit,
...
..

Well, that's so disappointing, if true.... you have morphed from a cool biker dude to a motorcycling bank manager 😅!!
I am slowly but fastidiously working towards the opposite concept - bought a SCR950 last year, which has more than a passing nod towards a Sportster, have enviable facial hair growth and increasing head hair length, a good full head I might add!
I have found myself constantly returning to that cool US bike website 😳, but then again an old Ural is pretty cool - probably more so IMO. Maybe a Jawa (the Czech original, not the re-badged Mahindra) will be the next purchase - still available new.... and they have a 650 in the pipeline with an XR650 facsimile motor.

But then, who cares?.... unless one feels the need to impress or conform 🙄

Harley flat tracking is not so much of a joke, even now. The HD concept has now gone live in India, with a 400cc single, but I can't see too many Indians adopting the HD concept - I suspect they're not that easily fooled!

my NC750 is great for what it is intended to do. comfy and economical. But a phrase you often hear NC owners say is `I do however miss the power of a big bike`.
Ive seen a few vids on youtube with little girls in america (lady bikers) riding HD Road Kings and indians etc. big powerful bikes that sound great too.
Would love to try one lol. ,...and own one too ..

Going back to the `concept` thing. .. I must admit that when i was wearing my leathers i thought i was a latter day cafe racer greaser type individual, and tried to act accordingly lol. I was soon put straight lol. Im also finding that as i age I am less tolerant to eating shit off people. I sometimes worry about myself lol.
