Me too!
Theres's phrase with a certain ring to it.
I gather a number of local groups left the organisation altogether having been subjected to his 'charm'.
If you hope to run a membership club well, it's really best not to treat the members like employees on ZHCs

Re: Something that may interest TRF members and former members
TRF got to take some responsibility for allowing things to happen.. perhaps rules and guidelines need to be updated to reflect less honorable times. Members must have more power and say !!
O .. here's a new idea .... how about.. er .. Democracy.
A radical new approach, admittedly.. votes of confidence, yearly elections, members only excluded by general vote, asset disclosure rigorously applied, less power to leaders of local (and national) groups. More power to the people.. nahh .. such outlandish radical reforms will never be accepted.

Greetings folks,
"Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?" or put more simply who watches over those in power?
Governments and social groups should serve the people by whom they were elected. Democracy can only exist if the Members themselves watch over the constitutional behaviour of their so called leaders. Unfortunately numerically too many members are only interested in the so called perceived benefits that the club affords them and not with the administration of that club.
Extreme care must be exercised in the setting out of the wording of any Constitution by which a club/group should operate and there should be a separate independent control group in place to which the directors can be held accountable in the case of possible dispute. A simple honourable ideal perhaps but one so difficult to achieve in reality especially with a wide geographical membership base.

Re: Something that may interest TRF members and former members
Perhaps the TRF should get up to date and (assuming not already) allow vote by computer. Digital voting ffs lol.
That way, decisions can be rapidly made and faults and problems solved too.
That way, the general membership can be the control group.
the constitution can be worded to be Variable and Shape with the times.
TRF Forum is Key !!

Greetings Gary,
The Forum is a good idea but it used to be heavily moderated and sanctioned when I was a Member of the TRF and reading the article about the VMCC situation it looks as though that it is/was a problem there too.
