That is terrifically ugly, usually I really like a trellis frame but that looks more like scaffolding round a iron foundry. Lovely engine though.

Yeah, got to agree with Bren and others. That looks more like a Richard Rogers designed building than a motorbike. The Pompidou Mammoth. Could be a hairy ride.

Far too much going on, design-wise, - too tall, too big. I don't mind the idea of an inline 6. I had a Z1300 for a while back in the late 80s and the CBX1000 was super-smooth, but it needs to be done well for such a wide lump to work. Neither of them went round corners properly of course. I remember Suzuki had a design concept IL6 Katana on the shelf for a while, which looked superb, but never got made.

Or what about a V6? I could see Ducati trying that maybe as a fossil fuel engine swan song. Not sure if the weight/performance/packaging equation would bring sufficient benefits over their current V4s though.

But personally I can't see BMW shifting too many of these mammoths. Too much woolly thinking in the design department I think....

310 kg kerb weight including fuel ,39 litres weighs less than standard with proper forks not telelever not for me but I like the individual builds especially by Nico bakker
