Greetings,
Recent sad news from the Dakar Rally is that Pierre Cherpin has died from his injuries whilst being transferred by air to Lille,

Sad news--and 52--no youngster BUT doing what he loved. Sounds like he must have had a high speed argument with some rocks--and there are plenty on the stages--and coupled with the difficult navigation--"off piste" can be very dangerous.
