My new scooter
Then I hit on the idea of a scooter with the lower protection. I fancied a Innova like godspeed & macvisual but nothing nice turned up, then i saw this Forza 300, read up on it and went for it. The Honda 90s and Wave's I have had were fine but I fancied a wee bit more power.
First thing that struck me was the performance, I had a CRF250l for a couple of years so at 190kgs I wasn't expecting too much but I was surprised.
It holds 70/80 mph on the motorway easily, why doesn't Honda put this engine in the CRF and make a 300L like Minky's.
So anyway after a couple of months I have only done a few hundred miles on it but its very comfy, the division between the seats sort of acts like a backrest, plenty positions for the feet. Always in the right gear, 80 plus mpg, cavernous space below the seat. I'm beginning to think about touring on it. Well pleased so far

Re: My new scooter
They are good fun those medium/large scoots aren't they Steve.
Had 2 Yamaha 250 Majesty's (not at the same time though ) and the Boss & I used to go to the Edinburgh Fringe from up north on them. As you say, comfy, speedy enough, even 2 up, and cavernous enough to hold a weekend aways kit for 2. Even did a few "off-piste" rides on them as well
Enjoy

Ah you've touched on their Achilles Heel Steve, suspension, those little wheels and long springs at the back don,t make for a great ride on bad surfaces. I wouldn't like to take one off road

Re: My new scooter
Very nice crofty...! A friend of mine just bought one last week also and loves it. Huge storage under the seat...!
I'm hoping to clinch a deal soon on a Honda Silverwing 600 all being well.
Enjoy and ride safe.

Also,
Can’t wait to see what the real world mpg is like and the tank range. Be good if it was 200 miles!
