Yeah, really like the simplicity of that. Some of these sticker sets look a bit too busy, but that looks great against a fresh paint job.

Re: KTM 640 Adventure Rally Build
While I am waiting for the resprayed items to be ready I am thinking of a carb change out.
This bike is fitted with the Dellorto PHM40 carb however the other 640 I have which I will possibly sell has the keihin fcr 41 mx carb
I am thinking to swap them.... Anyone fitted the fcr carb to a 640?

Re: KTM 640 Adventure Rally Build
Yes the guy who made them has stopped now I believe.
guy who sprayed it said was total nightmare as carbon fiber took 4 coats of primer and some filler.
His friend sprayed for lotus who use carbon fiber alot and said he knew it would be a nightmare. After he said never again
Price was really good
When I roughly fitted the fairing up and a tank gaurd the top of the tank gaurd seemed to sit under fairing so will need trimming.
Yours look good, might have to get a set for when I do the other ktm 640

Re: KTM 640 Adventure Rally Build
The Oz ones were vac bagged and then lacquered I believe---so you probably didn't have a smooth finish(carbon weave "ripples") to start with--we start with a gel coat in the lay up (for a smooth exterior finish--we don't lacquer)--and its a press mould--gel, carbon, glass, carbon, kevlar triaxial, carbon triaxial and then press--and we extend below the petcock with an access hole--the danger of wiping off the petcock in the middle of nowhere is real. You can run from the inner cross balance pipe but lose a bit of reserve(blanking off the petcock). KTM only sold the H and B crash bars for the 950 and 990s, and didn't sell them (as a factory extra) for the 640 due to lack of rearward support--they can fold in a heavy drop.
