As in the title not ridden a big adventure bike offroad before and apart from the one time I rode my versys on some green lanes at the west Wales rally and the Japanese tyres didn't like the wet Welsh grass and let go and I binned it lol.so I bought a ktm 990 adventure very low miles 2 years ago fitted numerous offroad protection farkles but never had the bottle well until yesterday when a good pal of mine with the same bike took me out on some loose rocky roads and soft tracks water crossings and some other fun things.all in all loved it and wish I'd started years ago

Well done TJ. Its very intimidating taking your own large bike on the gnarly stuff ! I broke my duck when I took my big gs around the sweetlamb forestry earlier in the year (highly recommend them). Fantabulous experience, even though I manged to get upside down on a hill all by myself. The chunky farkles did their job though, and I practised a backwards double salko

Instructors call grass 'green ice' to make you remember it has no grip btw.

Greetings Teflon,
I notice that you live not too far from me, if you might like after all this Covid-19 is clear I could show you around some of the Peak District Green Lanes? You may know already know them I am simply going off your earlier comments.
In comparison to many I only bimble these days so no pressure.

Hugh.
