Soz yep another tent question :o ...

Ive alwzys used either vango tempest or coleman 2 man pitch as one tents, But as i like to wild camp and go where its hot 30c and above i need a tent the can be pitched inner first for hot nights but has a cover for rain....a small porch for the boots would be great not a fan of side entrances...

So any ideas ....2kg max too ish.

https://www.alpkit.com/products/tetri I use this and for the price hard to beat. Pitches outer first though but you can just use that but I prefer that set up for those unexpected showers, combined with a bivvi bag you have all the options. 3kg for the complete set up.

MER Elixer can be used seperately .if it gets hot
Really good bit of kit and no hesitation to recommend one

I use a North Face Tadpole 2. Packs small, lightweight, but on the small side if the weather turns.

I use a North Face Big Fat Frog tent (but they may have stopped making them?)

Vango did some really good hot weather tents. A bit heavier than 2kg, but pretty bombproof - I've got a Mistral 200.

Vango Sirocco 200 - ex display for sale @ £90 on UK eBay.

Vango Mistral 200 - new @ £99 on eBay

Vango Zephyr 200 - new @ £109 on eBay

As per my new thread in the travel section, we’ve just bought an MSR. We’ve only set it up once and slept in it twice so far.
It’s very light (ours is a 3 man), has a good feel to it and is much more spacious than our previous tent, Vango Pulsar 300, minus the vestibule area.

Due to its light weight it feels a bit more delicate? Time will tell.
It certainly a lot different to the Vango in all respects, certainly the price. Again, time will tell.

Although difficult, and we didn’t manage it with the tent we ultimately settled for, it’s worth trying to find a stockist of your chosen tent to see it put up before you commit.

Having said all that.....I still prefer a hotel room!! 🤪

I have a small 2 man ridge tent that pitches inner first and is perfect for this kind of camping. Unfortunately I have it over 40 years so its got steel poles rather than aluminium but its still good and small enough well under 2 kg. I always use pitch outer first for obvious reasons but in extreme heat the pitch inner is better and you keep the bugs out.
