Phil's route looks great as it avoids all the main towns, it also passes close to Oradour-sur-Glane which is well worth a visit if you have time.

Hey, if anyone gets in a muddle on the way to Phil's, or wants to pitch tent in the garden/ stop over, we're in the Angouleme, limoges, Poitiers triangle.
