A mate of mine in oz has asked me to look into which Klim products are the best for adventure riding , I am having trouble getting a reliable ( non salesman ) answer !

He wants jacket and pants ?

I thought they may be more popular in the uk than down here , does anyone have any experiance with Klim ?

I also noticed their jacket wasn't in the ABR review in issue 5 and wondered if there was any reason for this ?

Possibly due the cost of them! :blink:

I have a Klim Traverse jacket £300 including armour.
It's the 2nd one i've had as the first one leaked in the arm.
But all seems to be ok now, excellent for summer riding also as it has vents under the arm that run for about 12 inches and a zipped vent at the rear.
I'm going to get the trousers as well, these have vents that open up for summer riding and make them cool. very comfortable jacket rode down to Spain and back in torrential rain.
It was so bad i had to stop as i couldn't see in front of me the rain was so hard.

The Klim jacket is reviewed in Issue 5 - it's in the 'Hot Stuff' section in the front of the magazine. It's a great product, so obviously designed by people who ride bikes and know what counts rather than selected off a samples rack in a low cost/crap quality Chinese factory.

I have the Traverse trousers & jacket. 100% waterproof in a recent trip from Dover to Herts where it FCUKIN SWAMPED DOWN the whole way.

Highly reccommended

Heard two guys talking about the kit on sunday in a very wet Snowdonia, the only guy in the room who dry bar me was the guy in the Klim kit, I was in a car had been walking in the mountains with kids. cheers Spud

I am a big fan of their stuff. I have just bought the Dakar pants and inversion jacket. This lot are always very helpful http://www.adventure-spec.com/ The powercross gloves I have are two years old,are only used off road and are still waterproof .

Two of the folk at the meet this last weekend were wearing the KLIM Traverse stuff, sorry I don't know their avatar's I think Dave and Danni were their names, they were both riding KTM 690 Enduros if some one else could help. I'm sure they will give good honest accounts the stuff.
'Lizzie' and I have the dakar pants which are very well made and robust, though not waterproof (they are not intended to be)
Re the cost, like most things you get what you pay for, though the law of diminishing returns does apply.
