N.I ABR's in the Pyrenees
Re: N.I ABR's in the Pyrenees
Day 3
So, after leaving our HQ, and riding some tarmac, we went 'Off Road' entering a gravel trail, that got progressively worse the further we got.
Where this photo was taken, we had all stopped to let a fleet of Dutch registered 4x4s passed who were coning in the opposite direction. So after quite fews miles, we arrived here at a place we christened 'Heartbreak Hill' as one or two of us encountered, shall we say a few moments
Ask no questions, I'll tell no lies! Decision time, where next or shall we go higher

Re: N.I ABR's in the Pyrenees
This was a long but highly enjoyable day. Total mileage for the day was 54 miles but it took us 6 hours to get back to our base.
Somewhere along this trail, we stopped for a rural coffee brew up
Some time later
Time for some water and photos

Day 4
Another 'Off Road' day.
This was a ride to Andorra, via the 'Smugglers Trail'
First stop was for coffee at this wee spot , Casa Sisqueta. The coffee was served in a glass, Is this the norm ?
We continued on along the trail
Through a number of these

And now, Harry, let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure.

Re: N.I ABR's in the Pyrenees
when we got to the plateau, we meet some Isrealies, who were travelling in some 4x4s from Andorra into Spain. Turns out they were a dance troupe and took up the invite to join them for some stretches etc
More to follow tomorrow
Then on up to the end of the trail over the border into Andorra - Ahh..... Tarmac
Then into Andorra itself More to follow tomorrow
