The perfect line up

Post by Alun »

I've been reviewing the contents of the Davies garage and come to the decision that things have to change. My current line up of bikes is far too similar and needs changing. Right now I have;

Triumph Sprint 885
Triumph Tiger 885 (the Steamer)
Triumph Tiger 955i (the Girlie)
The Sprint and Steamer are going.

In the perfect world my line up would be;

250 Trials bike – to remind me of when I could do such things.
450 Green laner - fun, fun, fun.
Adventure Bike – the Tiger 955i will do for now but thinking of changing for something better suited to carrying a pillion and all the gear.
Road Cruiser – showing my age here but I'd also like a machine where I can cruise effortlessly and protected to the extent that I could set out a pick nick on the tank at 80mph whilst listening to 70's music.

What's your perfect line up?

Hmmmm.

My Ural Sportman can stay, but a BM airhead engine in there (or even a Guzzi 2V) would be great!

Yamaha XT660Z, coz it's the most promising "new" bike to hit the adv stage that has real adv potential, IMO.

A Moto Guzzi Le Mans V11. Why?! Have you not seen how it looks??

A Suzuki TL1000s, for old time's sake.

Royal Enfield Electra 500 EFI. Something different.

And a big garage...

Perfect line up would be:-
1200 Beemer GSA for the adventures.
Suzuki 1300 busa engined streetfighter, spondon frame etc etc for the madness.
KTM 450 for the lanes n fun
Royal Enfield Trials err for trials (I'm too old n fragile for serious trials stuff!)
Burgman scooter go to the shops!
Ural outfit, so much fun at low speed, and for when it snows!
Oh yeah just for the classic style (and me pension) a Brough Superior!!!
Can any one lend me a million squid, and I'd have a few more!
