Got a message from Moto Al yesterday saying he was banned from the forum.
I wonder why ?
He told me what the reason was according to him but I'd be happy to be educated about it here in public so everyone else knows about it too.
I understand there are different views about things like this but if the admins here could explain ?
So Moto Al got banned...

Re: So Moto Al got banned...
I've just seen this on Al's Facebook.
OK, I can only guess why but probably quite an educated guess, but if I'm right then the same should apply to a whole raft of people on here - a veritable pogrom ...

Re: So Moto Al got banned...
Well bad luck. It was mentioned on here that he'd been sending text messages to another forum member and he not only carried on with that, he made public a private message sent to him asking him to stop. My understanding is that he was asked by a moderator to stop, he carried on, the other forum member discussed his options with a moderator and that resulted in him being banned.
If he'd been sending offensive text messages to me and didn't stop he'd have had the police knocking on his door. I don't care what people say via a keyboard on an Internet forum but if they take that into my personal life either by repeating it to my face or by email or phone I'll deal with them physically if they're close enough or get the police involved if they're not in range.
It's sad that it came to this but you simply cannot act like that in a grown up, real life World. This isn't make believe and once you overstep the mark you have to accept any punishment that comes your way. No doubt others will feel differently but that's fine, personally I really don't care if others feel sorry for him because even though I wish he'd been able to stop himself from acting as he did I feel that the ban was deserved.

I think my reply was accurate. It's based on what was obvious on the forum and information from another member who I look on as an honest and very pleasant person. If I've overstepped the mark or got it wrong then obviously my answer will rightly be removed.Dutchgit wrote:Aha. Thanks for that Andy.
