Roads and routes around the Vosges
Roads and routes around the Vosges
Anyone know the best roads around these mountains, GPX files etc??
Finally back on a GS
Re: Roads and routes around the Vosges
Michelin published a book back in 2013 called 100 virees a moto. Which they also published online accompanying 100 GPX files (tracks) and 100 PDF road book files. All of which I have and I'm working with members of UKGSer to bring up to date and in line with the Ride guide to Europe
Edit: Michelin started with 80 routes in early publications, then as the book was republished increased it to 90, then finally ending at 100, older versions of the 80 virees files are available to download on the UKGSer site and are broken down into regions http://www.ukgser.com/forums/forumdispl ... -Pyrenees)

Re: Roads and routes around the Vosges
If you use BaseCamp (Garmin) you can export a GPX file to the Google KML/KMZ format and import in to My Maps. Makes it easier to share route info and embed in a blog as I do. I believe Tyre also recognises the KML format too. It's useful for sharing routes on-line with mates sometimes (thumbs)Brenhden wrote:Good route but more than that thanks for showing me that Google my maps exists!
