Did you buy the one with all the toys because they might need a so called inspection at 12k miles and the XR probably needs a little bit more time to get at the valves but a grand for a service is a hell of a lot more than I'd expect. That's more than a major service on a Ducati when they do a belt change so I'd be making a few phone calls if I were you.

Thanks, yes the one with all the toys. Will make some calls to other dealers. Was hoping for some help on here but everyone just slagging me off saying no way.
