Any arcmchair lawyers got a view on a parking ticket issue?

I've got 5 parking tickets in the last 6 months

. All of them in the same town for being anything from 10 minutes to 20 minutes overdue in a 1 hour parking space.
I know that's my own stupid fault

. However the 5th ticket was only issued 3 minutes after the 1 hour time limit had elapsed so I contested it. The ticket said "vehicle first seen at 14.27. Excess charge ticket issued at 15.30".
I thought 3 minutes wasn't enough time and they've written back to me to say that due to the attendants error they have cancelled the charge, which is good news (thumbs) .
My question is...is that an admission that there could of been a potential error with their timings on perhaps some of the other 4 tickets that I have received? (and paid).
I'm asking because it's £200 in total, for the other 4 that I've paid :S , so it's got me thinking...?

Have they offered you a parking awareness course??
I think next birthday you should ask someone to get you a watch??

Parking Awareness Course!!! HAHA, love it.
Alas, I feel your ticket pain, but not too much as I tend to get back to my vehicles in time.
As my mum used to say, "You don't know unless you ask", now seeing that you have asked us lot whether the council would review your past penalty charges, why not ask the council to review.
However, I doubt they will without you having a specific basis for a request on each ticket.
Good luck.

Is it administered by the Local Authority or was it on a private land car park, as if the former you are probably bang to rights, but it the latter, I would argue the toss as they don't always have the same legal authority as the Local Authority do.

Guessing this won't help, but it's amusing. Link is in the field, but doesn't show in the post for some reason.

They have probably got you then and they will chase and then use baillifs if necessary, which will cost you far more in the long run, so best I'm afraid just to pay up and use the clock alarm on your mobile to remind you when the parking ticket is running out .

What about clock accuracy, Torbay (Torquay) always seem slow and just been to Burgh Island and my ticket, purchased at 14:31 was marked at 14:27? So -- when I return after my one hour at 14:30 they were checking tickets, hadn't got to me as I left.
Can you appeal if the timer is not set correctly?
Can say it was a lovely sunny day.
