Yerp, usual till they're broken in a bit. I'm the same with my new RST adventure boots.
Gonna jump in a few puddles then give them plenty of flexion to speed the process up a bit.

I do not like the new evo version of inifity boots.
I do not know why they made the outside parts from a single piece of leather, but those boots not do not feel as an all round boot you could ride and walk as old infinities, due to added stiffness of the outside single panels.
so it is one for the other I guess.
on the other hand, it sound for me that you might not be used to wearing a high ankle boots. they restrict the movement and for the reason, especially when new

I had the same problem. Couldn't get the boot bent enough to get my foot on the peg and under the gear lever on my Explorer. Ended up taking them back and exchanging them for something more flexible.I have since seen Sidi Canyon boots that look ok.

Hi all , after advice from here I went ahead and bought some . Very nice boots BUT feel very stiff ? I panicked today using them for the first time as I couldn't bend my ankle to get my foot under the gear lever !! Is this normal ?

An old trick with army boots is to leave wet news paper inside the boots overnight then dry them out naturally [not on the radiator] before polishing,it helps get some supleness into the leather,

+1 on not liking them.
Why is 'new and improved' usually the opposite?
Oh sorry, the should be Evo, not new and improved.

Can't comment on the 'new improved ones', but no complaints with my 3 year old pair. Still comfortable and waterproof. Re adjusting the gear changer (and brake pedal), having size 13 (48) feet, it's a necessary adjustment I have to make on all my bikes.

experience with old ones is irrelevant in this case. When I was looking to replace my old pair of infinities last year, was looking at the evo version and found them nothing like the old one. And actually sidi canyons from previous post felt like old infinities comfort wise.
