Check this out:

It 'pencil sharpens' your bolts to remove that bit of buggered thread that stops the nut from going on. Even works on stainless steel (thumbs)

The simple ideas are always the best! Why didn't I think of that? Defiantly one for the tool tray. Nige

M8 or bigger kind of limits it's appeal for me. A smaller one that fits a Dremel maybe and then I'm really interested

A few seconds using a file should be just as good

Cool bit of kit and if it was fifteen quid I might chuck one in the tool tray but for $65 + shipping and duty, I'll continue to use some finesse and a 4.5" angle grinder.

I'll save the money for whiskey & wimmin'
Though I would've though a metric thread file would be a better investment

That is horrible.

Maybe for a dirty field fix etc but whats wrong with running a die down the bolt and doing it properly?
Not to mention you can buy a tap and die set good enough for cleaning threads occasionally for less than that price.

I'm with pete, looks good for a quick and dirty field fix when you just need to get a bolt back in. Ordinarily though I'd either use a file or die.
I've been know with smaller bolts to just but the bolt head in the drill chuck and use a file, that's how I clean things like slider pins as well if I cant use a lathe
