M8 or bigger kind of limits it's appeal for me. A smaller one that fits a Dremel maybe and then I'm really interested

Cool bit of kit and if it was fifteen quid I might chuck one in the tool tray but for $65 + shipping and duty, I'll continue to use some finesse and a 4.5" angle grinder.

Maybe for a dirty field fix etc but whats wrong with running a die down the bolt and doing it properly?

Not to mention you can buy a tap and die set good enough for cleaning threads occasionally for less than that price.

I have a set of thread cleaners,,,like dies with hex to turn with a spanner.

I'm with pete, looks good for a quick and dirty field fix when you just need to get a bolt back in. Ordinarily though I'd either use a file or die.

I've been know with smaller bolts to just but the bolt head in the drill chuck and use a file, that's how I clean things like slider pins as well if I cant use a lathe :whistle:
