Where the hell is this?

Post by Alun »

I've just been sent one of those round robin emails with this image attached. Man, do I want to go ride this trail. Anyone know where this is?

It looks like the Ligurian Ridge an old military road on the French Italian border. Colle Tende is part of it. I wanted to ride the section from Fort Central to Limone this summer but couldn't find anyone to go with me as many sections are rated SG5 in Denzel and on Alpenrouten.de http://alpenrouten.de/

P.S The Germans call it the LGKS or the Ligurian Grenzkammstraße
