You can see that the N/S post and mirror are blocking the view of the bike look at 08 sec in you just can't see the driver, and the drivers attention would have been on the front overrun and the old woman with the pram on the corner.
As soon as he's cleared the curb on the N/S he would have been looking to the O/S rear to check the rear end swing, from the rear mounted crane to clear the on coming bus.
I have trained a few VML drivers in the past, I stopped because they were pushing them on to operating solo far to quickly!
Still a shocking bit of driving and should never of happened

there was quite loads of time for driver to see approaching bike if he would have looked properly, but wtf?- where was that motorcyclists horn? - he clearly panicked and try to shout through his lid onto driver in enclosed lorry cab and there was plenty of time to use the horn or rev the fuck out of that engine to get the attention instead of shouting or move to the right lane. where is rest of that video, was the guy wearing full racing leathers? :whistle:

i find people dont always listen to the horn as they think its not for them

No apology from the truck driver, No "Are you alright" nothing.... which shows his attitude to wards other road users.
