The fazer and the bandit are both good bikes, my mate has had both and rates them both very highly.
For commuting though I'd go with for a full fairing.

Any of those 600ish bikes are good, Fazer, Bandit, Hornet, I have an 05 Bandit 650 which I love. So comfy and with the seat in lowest position I can get both feet of my 5'6" frame flat on the floor.
Hope you find a nice brace of bikes!

Thanks Sprockette, i am already swaying towards the Bandit, i know the FZ6 is a more modern machine with superior frame BUT you can fettle with Bandits much easier me thinks and there is a bit of a following for them, they have character and that old school traditional look. Well the test rides will sort the wheat from the chaff i suppose. No doubt ill let you all know what i end up with. Below are actual pics of the bikes. Decisions decisions...........Sprockette wrote:Any of those 600ish bikes are good, Fazer, Bandit, Hornet, I have an 05 Bandit 650 which I love. Go for the Bandit, you wont regret it. The Fazer aint worth the extra dosh and wont do anything the Bandit wont do.
Mind you... I am biased being on my third Bandit now.
