Vans!

Post by SteveW »

Cars are shite.
I can't believe how good my new van is. It's got gadgets galore, I haven't got a clue what all the buttons do.
It's fast, quite and comfy. I can fit two Enduro bikes in the back, sleep in the back and cook me breakfast!

How do you find the noise at motorway speeds?
I've often thought of a decent van but we do several 1500 mile round trips to France and the wife would go mad if it was noisy as ....

It's got a full lined bulkhead, Ford have done a lot of work on sound suppression.
Think......Range Rover Sport without the tyre rumble.
But 30% of the cost with 5x the load capacity and 20% better fuel economy.

Modern vans are fantastic. My 2013 model Transit can easily cruise at 90mph@ 2.5k rpm!Can achieve 40mpg. Would seriously consider one over a car for my personal use,if I needed the carrying necessity (thumbs) The new Transit is supposed to be very good? Haven't driven one,But I liked the Vivaro more, than the Transit ive got now. Its only the front suspension that lets this model down!
