I know nothing about them so I would like opinion on this one please:

Reports of these are few and fair between, it is mentioned over on hotukdeals and is currently sitting at -23 degrees, not too great!

Personally I wouldn't. The 3 year warranty looks nice, but who wants a camera that guarantees crap pictures for three years. For the same sort of money look at a :

If you are wanting a bridge camera then this price bracket is rather low so there will be compromises somewhere and as it's a 20 maga Pixel sensor the problems are likely to be in the lens or shutter mechanism or both.
35x optical zoom is a very large range unless some of this is digital zoom.

Panasonic make very good compact cameras and you will probably be far happier with the results even though you may have to pay more but look out for Black Friday deals just under two weeks away.

Look in PC World before making any decisions, one of the few places that stock a wide range currently.

quality of the pics will be probably shite cos it has got too many mega pixels for CCD size. for sameish price you can have panasonic lumix bridge basic.

This. Pay a bit more and get a decent one. (thumbs)

The Lumix TZ range of cameras have pretty good image quality in good light considering their small sensor size. My wife uses a TZ25 on the back of the bike and had a TZ8 before that.

The larger sensor models do offer better quality, but you're looking around £200+ even for an older model e.g. Canon S110/120, LUMIX LX7 (my current compact camera), Canon G12 etc.

The 1" or 4/3 sensor models are much better still in low light, but then you're looking at £350+

I've had most of the high end compacts over the years (canon G7, G11, G1X, G12 & G15, LUMIX LX5 & LX7, Sony RX100) and the RX100 was the best overall (and the most expensive), but the LX5 and 7 are very close and easier to operate with gloves on.

I had a Panasonic FZ28 for a few years it took good pics I bought a Nikon Coolpix P600 for my trip to Norway quite impressed with that.
