Classic Insurance

What an utter load of bollox this is.
I have a multi-bike insurance policy with Adrian Flux. In July, I paid £240 for 3 bikes including the BMW which had the highest value. Then paid an extra £75 for EU breakdown insurance as I thought I was going to Poland or the HISS.
Sold my BMW over the weekend. Called today to change the cover - the 2 trail bikes should now be entitled to classic insurance.
So despite only having insurance for 3.5 months, after fees and commissions and any other type of excuse they decided upon, I was given 2 choices:
- continue with the
same insurance & receive an
£8 refund
- receive a £70 refund but start a brand new classic policy (awaiting quotation)
The EU breakdown cover isn't included in any refund so I've totally lost that.
Carole Nash - classic policy £134 & Footman James quoted £146
I expected classic insurance for both bikes to be about £70! Either way, they win!
Any other recommended classic motorcycle insurers that do multi-bike policies?

You can't win against the insurance cartel...... it's as crooked as a crooked thing.

The CN quote seems a bit high. I had to take out a new classic bike policy to run alongside my existing multi bike one which meant I had to start with 0 years NCB and they charged my £115 fully comp on a Kawasaki 750H2 with a declared value of £11k. Once I've registered my Norton Commando I can add that to the policy for £40 and that's got a declared value of £8k but I've only got the Kawasaki down for 2k miles per year and the Norton will be the same.
That also includes European wide recovery collecting it from home and taking it to a dealer if it goes wrong on me :pinch:
I was a bit annoyed that they won't insure the Norton on a frame number because I've done that before but it's safely locked away so I'll just have to live with the risk.

Many years back I wanted to insure a new car. As in before it was registered. Insurance company said no problem, lets have the chassis number, tell us the reg no later. Sounds a little unusual that they wont insure it as you can have a perfectly legal insurable interest.
When I was renewing my insurance in July I went through various companies. Adelaide were indeed cheaper but as my bike was 30 years old there was no breakdown cover as they have an age limit of 15 years. In the end I stayed with CN because their breakdown cover is EU wide and is not age limited, they also include legal expenses cover. It just wasn't comparing like for like. Having said that £115 comp for a Kawasaki H2 is not bad. Its one nice machine.

Most online sites don't list my DR250 & many others don't do multi-bike quotes.

Adrian Flux are terrible took out a car policy online through a comparison site, only to discover when the paper work arrived it did not cover commuting. Rang them to sort it day before the policy started and they wanted 98 quid to upgrade the policy or 70 admin fee for cancelling. Nowhere in the quote process did it say commuting wasn't covered, and all the other insurers in the comparison included it. Next cheapest was 30 quid more so either way I was 90+ out of pocket for a policy that hadn't started.
Lady I spoke to all but accused me of committing fraud by not disclosing I would be commuting to get a cheaper policy.
Next time I go to Kings Lynn I will piss in their letter box they made me so angry.:S
