Any one help my carb keeps flooding on my DR350s

Ive clean the carb out twice now...but still keeps on dripping fuel out the overflow pipe.

Any advice appreciated

The float valve needle or seat are damaged.

Todays fuel has a lower specific gravity than yesteryear! & therefore the float level height probably needs adjusting.

I had this problem, a carb overhaul kit (about £25) sorted it.

Check the float level, float could be sticking, I've had this on my Drz.

I had the same problem with the wifes Fazer, removed the tank and ran the bike dry, refitted the tank and the problem was gone, it was just enough to unstick the float, that said if the carbs were easy to remove I might have gone down that route!

Thanks for the advice help guys, took the carb off again today to check the float height

Reset the float height to spec in the workshop manual, put it all back, tested and its still flooding.. can't see any wear on the needle jet

Just can't make out was causing it to flood its pain in the ... got a weekend trip booked
away soon.

The overhaul kit @£25 might be just a waste of time and money unless you are sure that the problem lies with the jets.
I think that it may be possible to prove the float needle jet by removing the bowl, gently pushing the needle up into the seat, then turning on the fuel dropping the needle and then shutting it off again.
If the fuel stops flowing the problem isn't with the needle or the seat, but could be a dodgy float (not floating / rising).
Also make sure that the float pivots are free from debris and that they allow free movement of the float bodies.

If the float valve seat "O"ring 24 is faulty then fuel will leak past it causing flooding.

If the float is at the correct level and functioning properly then next thing to check is the above, exactly like the seal in a toilet cistern.

I agree with the lads above, sounds like it could be a fu*ked 'O'ring
