I thought I would test out my new bike / helmet cams.

Wanted to give them an 'extreme' test so I know they can handle anything, so I fastened one to the front of the tallest, fastest rollercoaster in UK / Europe!

How did ya manage to bungee the bike to the front of the rollercoaster and did it survive ??

I've just got an image of some bloke in full biker gear and helmet sat at the front of the roller-coaster holding on to the bars! :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

Did you check over your shoulder as it set off?

I've had to film nearly all the rides at Pleasure Beach and, to be honest, I'm really not that keen on roller coasters, especially if they go upside down! But in the past I've used cameras up to £4000. and I'm less keen on losing one of those, so I ride with them just in case.

I'd much rather be on the bike taking my chances with idiots in cars than looping the loop on a coaster!

I'm back there filming again tomorrow, but with feet firmly on the ground!

The camera I used for this video was a CamSports HD Max Extreme, about £300 from Dogcamsports.

I prefer this cam as it can shoot at 25 / 50 frames per sec so it's easier to mix in with Pal footage shot with a handheld unit as well and has a 2 inch screen, remote switch and an external mic.

The mounts I use are a combination of the ones they use on Top Gear and some custom made stuff I designed.
