If you can't hump it or eat it, piss on it and walk away.

Just back after a great weekend. I met a great bunch of people and rode some great roads. Couldn't have been better (well, apart from the mother of all storms on Sunday night perhaps... )
Many thanks to all those who organised it, ran the rideouts and generally made sure everyone had a great time - I know that many put in a lot of work to make it all happen . Here's to the next one!

A big thank-you to the organisers, to Austin who led a connoisseur's ride on Saturday (complete with virtually off-road section to a ruined village and isolated beach, a Lighthouse Stevenson lighthouse
And yes, I did get to my opera rehearsal, albeit half an hour late (blame it on my slow mornings).
, and serious coffee and scones in Gairloch), and to all who made me so welcome on my first UK rally. And yes, I did get to my opera rehearsal, albeit half an hour late (blame it on my slow mornings).

Home! Blinkin long way Ullapool? Did my bimble up Nevis on Monday in the sleet and ice, wild camped with my German Walker and enjoyed the 80' Heavy. Got on the road in heavy rain Tuesday lunch time and had sun south of the border, A68 was fun but windy all the way to essex. Suns out and tents drying in the garden.
Good to meet you all and looking forward to doing it again.
Regards David
