Millennium Stadium Cardiff - Bike Parking

Post by Kinioo »

Hi all,

I am planning to go on my bike to Cardiff this year to see Speedway GP.

Can anybody tell me if there is any bike parking @ the Stadium (or nearby) and if so is it free??

I have heard that you cannot get close to the stadium when driving and its a bit tricky and painful to get there but not sure how it works when on bike??

Cheers

hi,
i live very close to cardiff 15 miles away, you can ride and drive right outside the stadium but carn,t think where you can safely park a bike in the city.
there are a few multistory car parks in the centre.

you could,

if you wanted park your bike at my house in bridgend i could drop you at the train station catch the train in return and i,d pick you back up when it gets back to bridgend.

your bike would be safe in the garage

That would be awesome as I could leav my gear with you and put some jeans on !!
Was thinking of some B&B as I dont want to ride down home late in the night.
Also was hoping to park my bike @ stadium (rather than in town) go to see GP, pick up my bike and ride to B & B.

There's a motorcycle parking bay right outside the stadium and guess what? It's closed on match days, Welsh logic at its finest! There another bay directly oposite the stadium on the other bank of the river, looks fairly safe as there's a high police presence on event days.

My son and I went. Brilliant racing and atmosphere. The Marshalls were really helpful and told us to park our bikes by the castle. There were only three other bikes there, it is a shame that more bikers don’t go and watch as it is highly entertaining.
Best of all for me it was free as I have a Blue Light card.
