I got home this morning from work and managed to turn key to parking light, battery is now dead.
Any advice of the best kind of charger?

Re: Bike battery charger
Personally I use an Optimate but there are cheaper chargers out there.

Re: Bike battery charger
Used to use Optimates but lost a couple of batteries (drained) which they couldn't recover and now use a CTEK which I am very happy with

I have Optimate & CTEK & use the Optimste mainly for maintenance
I only get the CTEK out to recover a fully discharged battery

Re: Bike battery charger
Optimates are good, but watch out for the connectors - after repeated use, the male pins compress & the female sockets open out. This will give you a 'sulphated battery' warning when it's no such thing - you just need to gently spread the pins/close the sockets to improve the connections.
