I have to agree with others...
If it's 60/40 off road go for the ten. It has just the edge and is cheaper to repair and service.
If it's 60/40 road then the Bmw but if you are leaning towards road use the strom.
Off road the bmw feels heavier to me. I've taken both down strata and the bm feels too squishy and soft for me. But if I had one I'd adapt my riding around. Both are capable go with what you fancy.

on the fuel issue, i aveaged 68mpg over the west wales weekend, and that was loaded and trying to keep up with my son who rides like hes stolen it :laugh:

If you haven't already, then have a read of the test in MCN from a couple of weeks back. I love mine, 65mpg two up, loaded and mixed riding. I've owned allsorts from an Fsie, Mxer's, 1000cc superbikes you name it, all I can chip in is that the Tenere suits me and my needs ATM.
