Starting to organise the next trip to the continent

Newcastle to Amsterdam ferry booked for the 23rd September returning on the 2nd October.
So not a very long trip, unlike some people.
Only plan at present is to drop into Luxemburg, we have been there before but did not see much.
There are IBIS and ETAP hotels at the airport which are not too expensive.
Anyway using this site to explore possible routes:

It doesn't need to be a long trip to be fun, just rolling off the ferry is fun enough.
Have a great trip and remember to take a few pictures.

Some fantastic routes and places to see in Luxembourg and south west Belgium including Echternach (lovely French feel with overtones of German efficiency - in Luxembourg!), Diekirch (great WWII museum), Vianden and Larochette (nice castles and in general) and Bastogne (lots of WWII stuff and wonderful Belgian trappist beers of course!).
Brilliant routes were we are too, in the Mosel and around the Eifel and Hunsreuk areas.
We've vacancies on those dates if you're stuck for somewhere to stay and could do special end-of-season rates (

Enjoy - it's a lovely time of year to head this way, with lovely colours in the landscape and lots of festivals.

Starting to get organised, draft plan and check list attached.
Having trouble with the holiday insurance, really for some medical cover, but most policies do not cover you for riding large motorbikes, especially if you are an ancient like me.
Anybody got any idea's?

Instead of staying at Traben you could travel a bit further to the river valley guest house in Rachtig, Mike the owner I believe is a member on this forum

Just got back, been down south for to visit relatives and go to a wedding in Wales.
Have taken out travel insurance with Direct Travel, slightly cheaper than coversure at £41.
Many thanks for the input.
While I have been away, the mate has managed to book up some B and B,s.
As Assen is on at the weekend may see some of the guys at the ferry, going the other way. :laugh:
