Session with the welder, now CCM has a top box rack

I thought I would pop a few pictures up for you folks on here of my Sunday session with the welder. I needed a top box on my CCM and since no one makes racks I figured I will have to!
So I had a look around the workshop at work to see what "scrap" we had :whistle: and found several length of solid steel bar bit of threaded bar and a old top box rack off I believe to be a gilera runner scooter.

Here is one of them before......(you will have to wait for the after
)

So after looking at possible mounting points I decided to basically extend the sub frame to use as a front mounting for the rack and the original grab rail mounting point for the rear rack mounting. So the measuring and cutting starts.

I used a few bits of metal I had kicking around to space the rack off the mud guard

I did have to a little bit of "modification" to the rear mudguard to clear the bars,
I didn't mind this as the plastics aren't in great shape so will all be replaced once modifications are completed.

Bit more tacking and trimming and she is ready to come off get welded up and painted

Bit of Hammer right paint as its hard wearing.

And then she's on!

Just awaiting the arrival of my top box now
Then load it up and off to Uni!
