Re: ABR Island Rally 2013 photos
Glad to see you all had a fabulous time. Sorry I had to bail out saturday morning but after the 3 hour ride home I collapsed into bed and didn't get out of it for 30 hours. Whatever I had it was a belter. Still coughing and spluttering now but at least I'm up and about. Sorry to have missed it all so I had better be in rude health for the next time. Well done to you all

Re: ABR Island Rally 2013 photos
cheers for organising the weekend mike and also for getting me down on the beach on sunday - very happy i didn't pass on that! the trip home was a bit of a drag though... 7 hours on my plank of a seat is quite literally a pain in the ass....
will sort through my pics when i get a chance and post some...
great weekend and good to meet a bunch of you in the flesh (not that i'm too sure just who the hell you all were!)

It seems that I can load photo's one at a time, so I'll do a few that way

Here's a first cut of a video from Saturday's ride up the Beach byway, checkout Kito getting an "early bath" at 4.45
Please note this is not from the crossing to Piel Island which has been mentioned is only accessible with permission from the King of Piel.
The video is from the byway near Askam in Furness, that runs along the beach below the high water mark MAP You need to enter from the sourthern end as the access from the road at the northern end has been blocked off. This of course means you have to turn round and ride it again (shame). The video is from the return trip.

So glad Dave shot past me at the last second and hit that water, because I was socking eventhought I slowed down after seeing the bow wave he made.Mad Cow wrote:Here's a first cut of a video from Saturday's ride up the Beach byway, checkout Kito getting an "early bath" at 4.45

Mike thank you for a top weekend, it was my first ABR meet and what a weekend,
After an epic 8 hour ride up on Friday, most of that filtering on the M5 / M6 I found the camp site after passing everyone already in the pub.
Saturday the trail ride was mint, good weather and all of a good ability so no hold ups, and good weather for a change.
I managed to get wet feet at the start of the day when I decided to follow mike through a ford, only to find him on his way back saying it was the wrong way.
And a couple from the beach
