Got the rack sorted as well. As I mentioned earlier, I had a hepco & becker rack that I was going to custom fit. Because it was mounted too far back and too high up. So I cut and altered it somewhat, basically kept the loops and adjusted the mounting points.
Turned out great, but I'll you judge for yourself.
Just needs a lick of paint and its good to go.

Top job that man! They look great.
If its an idea you may like to try I have just found that the space between the non-exhaust side pannier and the bike is the perfect spot for a tool tube if you add a couple of mounting brackets to the rack.
