Eurohike Backpacker Tent

Post by Breva »

While browsing Millets web site I noticed they have a sale on tents and this tent caught my eye http://www.millets.co.uk/product.html?c ... =093076450.... seems like a decent size to take away and a good offer price, also if you type in thanks10 in the promotion code box you can get another £2 off the delivery :) Not sure how long this offer is on for

That's my kind of tent! I hate camping, so if I must buy a tent It has to be a cheap one.

The quality of Eurohike tents is a bit hit and miss but at that price it's worth a punt. What we've found is that the strength and flexability of the Eurohike poles is on a par with dry spaghetti, so be warned. I also notice that the first reviewer found likewise.

Good find though and I supose you could use it as a bivi

It all depends on why you hate camping. Is it because of a traumatic event related to a cheap tent... :) If it is just to do with the cold, damp and wetness of it all then thats ok
I went to the Caribbean on holiday with my wife last year.

Jamaica?

No, she wanted to.

I had one for a while and found it a bit too small, even as a one man tent. Simply impossible to get dressed without touching the sides which, isn't good when it's raining. I also had a pole break after not too much use. Eldest son did me a favour when he lost it. Pack size and weight were good, but that is more important for backpacking or cycle touring than it is on a motorcycle (imo)

What you want is some sort of yurt with a wood burning stove inside. Its amazing what a compression sack will do when packing...
