had a great weekend through bowland ..over salter fell hawes buttertubs pass teesdale aliston .. hadrians wall st marys loch 300 miles fantastic weather stunning riding
the best way of getting your knee down is
1 pick a really tight right hand downhill bend
2 placing your front wheel on some hydralic fluid
..[feckin logging lorrys ] :S
3 proceed steadily and gracfully around the bend without the bike whilst balencing on your right knee knee .... :side:
4 say oh for fucks sake that smarts abit
5 pick bike up
6 ride two miles to digs
7 get drunk
8 then notice your knee is bursting the saems of your jeans
9 get ice bucket and apply with plastic bag and gaffe tape
10 wake up and the go to reception and explain why the bed its wet
and remember its very easy to do it only takes a millisecond
ouch keep those knee pads on guys ... i dread to think if i hadnt had one on ... a bit sore today but maanaged to ride back
get your knee down ..

Re: get your knee down ..
thanks i was lucky i think ..
strangly im ok standing but its a bugger to bend its so tight with fluid [stella ]
i think the pad moved after impact and caused some of the bruising but the initial impact was sqare on the kneecap which is still lilly white
..so the pad did its job and took the initial hit .. im sure it will be good to go in a couple of weeks
i will be using me off road pads in future even on tyhe road ..
ouch

Bugger that looks nasty mate, glad it was just that.
Get it looked at mate, I had infected water on the knee a few years ago and I left it thinking it would be ok, it wasn't, it got worse.

Glad you're still smiling mate, that's a bloody sore looking knee!
Hopefully it'll go down soon enough and you'll be back on the road, take care on it mate.
