MCN is reporting that Westminster Council in London has decided that it was right to scrap free parking for motorcycles despite a unanimous public response – 3,000 written objections and not one letter in support. The worry for bikers is that other metropolitan councils will follow Westminster, for example Camden Council is considering scrapping free parking for bikes.

Is this another example of elected officials abusing public trust when in power or a simple correction of a policy that should have had motorcyclists paying for parking all along.
